For more than 40 years, Fives workshop in Bar-Le-Duc has been executing mechanical parts of welded and fabricated assemblies. Its expertise covers welding, fabricated and welded construction, machining and mounting of medium and large size equipment on any types of steel or stainless steel alloys for varied sectors (thermal industry, steel industry, environment, energy).
Bar-le-Duc, a highly skilled site
Fives' workshop has been established in Bar-le-Duc since 1972 and offers its expertise to international and regional industries such as AREVA, CRYOSTAR, EDF, or global steelmakers such as Baosteel, POSCO or ArcelorMittal.
The site contains a stock of machines of 9,500 m² under cover, a design office and a test platform. It employs 100 people, two thirds of which are sheet metal workers, welders, pipe workers or highly skilled fitters.
For a few years the workshop has tried to gain a foothold in high added value sectors (energy, nuclear technology) requiring high expertise and special skills and has therefore developed a certification procedure (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 certification) to guarantee execution quality and compliance with deadlines.
